Modes

Is there a Farflung unlimited mode?

No official unlimited mode was offered in the FAQ checked on 23 October 2026. It says “Not yet” and points to Past week. Other sites advertise unlimited play, but those are separate games, not the official daily expedition.

Evidence and scope

This check used the official FAQ, how-to-play page, and changelog, not a live gameplay test. The FAQ prioritises prompt quality over quantity. Neither that answer nor the changelog checked on 23 October 2026 gives an unlimited release date.

What you can play on the official game

Past week opens the previous seven days from the menu. A missed day played late enters your Logbook but does not extend a streak; a daily expedition still allows only one attempt. Practice is a repeatable single untimed prompt: open How to play in the game menu, then Practice round. It does not consume today’s expedition.

Difficulty can hide the country name under the pin, hide borders, or shorten the clock from 60 seconds to 30. Those settings do not create new prompts. A new daily expedition opens at local midnight, not at one shared UTC midnight.

A Google sign-in is optional. Guest play keeps the day’s expedition on that browser. Sign-in is how the official privacy notes say settings and the record can follow you to another device.

What other sites claim

The following are claims from third-party public pages fetched on 23 October 2026, not independently tested gameplay or recommendations. The official homepage distinguishes other sites using the name from its own game, prompts, answers, and rulings.

farflunggame.com calls itself an independent fan expedition and advertises Daily, Unlimited, 60-second Classic, untimed Wander, a 209-question bank, and 195 countries. Its stated daily reset is midnight UTC, unlike the official local-midnight reset.
farflunggame.net/unlimited advertises an ongoing run with a 45-second clock and three misses before it ends. The official game instead uses five prompts and a 60- or 30-second clock.
farflunggame.fun explicitly says it is independently developed and not endorsed by the original creators. It advertises Daily, Unlimited, untimed Wander, friend challenges, and a 195-country catalogue.
farflung.cloud advertises Daily, Classic, Wander, Unlimited, 195 countries, and a midnight-UTC reset. Those claims describe its own offering, not the official 197-country game.

Do not transfer rules or results between games

An unlimited score on a third-party site is not an official Farflung result. Check that service’s own privacy and account terms before sharing information; the original game does not require an account. The official FAQ mentions a planned mobile app, but does not promise an unlimited mode with it.
