Expedition guide
Farflung is a free daily map quiz from Farflung LLC. Five prompts, one country pin each, and the less obvious pin travels further. There is no download and no account required.
Evidence and scope
Checked against the official rules and public day index on 23 October 2026. The latest reviewed file is Expedition #19. This is an independent reference guide, not a claim of a played score or an official answer service.
What you do in one expedition
Each local day is one expedition of five prompts. You place a single pin on the chart, press Drop pin, and the camp scores that country for that prompt. A wrong pin is 0 km. The same country can be used on more than one prompt if it truly fits both.
Checked 2026-10-23: the public rules say 197 countries (193 UN members plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo, and Taiwan). A new expedition opens at your local midnight, not at UTC midnight. The menu keeps the past week, seven days, and a late play still lands in the logbook without extending a streak.
Free in the browser
There is no app to install today. The official FAQ says a mobile app is planned, with no date attached. Play stays on farflung.game. This guide does not embed the game, because the official site sends X-Frame-Options: DENY.
Unlimited mode is not on the official game. The FAQ answer is “Not yet.” You can still replay the past week from the official menu. A separate page compares third-party sites that claim an unlimited mode.
